Rose maintains 3-shot lead through three rounds
Justin Rose parred his final three holes, missing makeable birdie putts on both 16 and 18, to stay at 16-under for the Travelers Championship, three shots better than Ben Curtis.
Vaughn Taylor is third at 11-under, five behind Rose. There is a seven-way tie for fourth place at 10-under, led by Corey Pavin and Ricky Barnes.
Rose and Curtis will be in the final pairing of the day Sunday. They wree in the same final pairing in this tournament five years ago, yet neither came up with the win. That was the year Brad Faxon came out of nowhere to shoot 61, tying the course record, then winning in a sudden-death playoff.
