Kenny Perry just ended his day in record fashion, coming away with a first-round score of 61 to tie the course record. He joins course record-holders Phil Mickelson, Scott Verplank and Kirk Triplett.
Despite the record day Perry only has a two-stroke lead. Tied at -7 for second place are Paul Goydos and Charles Warren who are both done for the day.
Aaron Watkins is on 16 at -5 with a shot to get close as well.
