Stegmaier qualifies
Brett Stegmaier, formerly of Madison and a member of New Haven Country Club was one of four to earn spots in the Travelers this week during the qualifier at Gillette Ridge in Bloomfield today. He shot five under par 67 at the Arnold Palmer designed course.
Jason Caron of Jupitor, Fla., and Chris Rogers of Nashville, Tenn. also were at 5-under 67.
Derek Gillespie of Oshawa, Ont. shot 68 and won a three-way sudden death playoff against Frank Lickliter of Ponte Vedra, Fla. and Tarik Can Manhasset, N.Y. to earn the fourth spot into the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands.
The Travelers Championship starts Thursday at TPC RiverHighlands in Cromwell.

Hey, Joe, Brett is no longer a member at New Haven and resides in Ridgefield while working as an Assistant Professional at Silver Spring CC. In the winter he lives in Vero Beach, FL. But, as usual, thanks for the press.
