Ryder Cup captain Corey Pavin shot a 3-under on the back nine, his first nine holes of the day, to be the current leader on the course at 8-under, 6 shots behind leader Justin Rose.

Charlie Wi, one of four first-round leaders along with Rose, is also 8-under thru four holes.

Rose currently has a 5-shot lead over Vijay Singh and Bill Lunde
